TITLE: Emerging.

EXPLANATION: When emerging into a new country, you experience - a new life, meeting new people, eating
new food, and speaking a new language. Wendy van Boxtel immigrated to the USA from the Netherlands at age of 21, this artwork represents her emerging into a new life. 

ARTIST SHORT STATEMENT:  Having roots in two different countries and two different cultures, often makes me feel like Alice in Wonderland.
